"Be fearless in the pursuit of what sets your soul on FIRE." Sara Mearns, Principal, NYC Ballet
Required Dress Code: Dancers are required to come prepared, looking like dancers with proper clothing, shoes, and hair pulled back. Dressing the part puts students into a focused, respectful mindset for training, treating dance with the same readiness as other athletes bring to a uniform. If dancers are cold, a small zip-up sweatshirt is appropriate until they warm-up. Studio jackets and other merch will be offered in the fall. Everyone has days where they forget or run out of the house in a rush. That happens occasionally and is understandable. To help dancer's practice responsibility, have them get their dance bag ready the day before.

DRESS CODE FOR ACRO
ALL LEVELS, BOYS AND GIRLS:
Any of the required ballet or tap/jazz dancewear. Kids will be spending time upside down so fitted shirts are required. The mats are slippery, so it's best to have bare feet.
The kids that have classes after school can keep shoes and dance clothes at the studio.
Shoes and other Dancewear: Stelle, Dancewear Solutions (affordable tap shoes), Discount Dance Supply, Amazon, Walmart, and Target are some options to order dancewear and shoes. I recommend Stelle half shoes and ballet slippers in canvas for the older dancers.
Competition: Competition tryouts are in the spring of each year. However, for our littlest dancers, we will be holding auditions in the fall. Dates to be determined.
Dancers under the driving age cannot leave the studio unless their designated person picks them up. If a parent allows their dancer to leave for any reason, the instructor must be notified.
